Dye penetrant testing is a commonly used nondestructive testing technology in detection of the most simple and effective use, it is dangerous to the metal and non-metal materials and parts life of pressure vessel safety risk of defects such as welding cracks, fatigue crack, stress test corrosion cracks, grinding cracks, quenching cracks and other surface defects with openings conclusion rapid, sensitive, showing good reproducibility and intuitive advantages. These advantages make the dye penetrant testing in machinery, metallurgy, petroleum, chemical industry, railway, transportation, shipbuilding, mining, construction, aviation, aerospace, power generation, pressure vessel and the Department of national defence industry quality assurance plays an increasingly important role in the system.
Operation steps:
1 pre cleaning: cleaning agent will be the surface of a test piece (dirt scale, rust, grease) completely clean;
2 penetration: placed 5-10 minutes after the workpiece and the specimen surface after drying, penetrant application, nozzle should be away from the workpiece and test block surface 20-30mm, infiltration time should be according to the instructions, usually 5-15 minutes, should maintain the penetrant flaw detection surface to be fully wet during this period;
3 cleaning: cleaning agent or water (water 1.5kg/cm2) will penetrate the surface of the workpiece cleaning agent
4 imaging: imaging agent fully shake, to keep the workpiece distance 300mm uniform spraying, spraying agent, a defect can be observed.
5 inspection is completed, the use of detergent or water scrub removal agent;
6 according to the process of the workpiece processing requirements.
